The season has begun! 2009's harvest and shares were the best yet, and we think that this year will raise the bar even more.  We are expanding our offerings in culinary herbs and spices, and are holding new Intensive Trainings in the Farm to Pharmacy model along with our successful 7-month Farm to Pharmacy Internship program- furthering our mission to spread the knowledge of herbal medicine, from seed to medicinal use!

What is an Herbal Medicine Share?

Modeled after the now familiar concept of the Vegetable CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), the Herbal CSA provides an opportunity to collaborate with us, the growers of medicinal plants. When you purchase a share, it helps support the work we do growing and processing the herbs into useful natural medicines that nourish the body and enhance vitality. In return, you will receive a variety of herbs that support good health and the health of the environment, while also preserving the agricultural character of our wonderful community.

A share consists of a wide variety of herbal medicine preparations containing herbs organically grown on our farm. In general, they contain formulas that both enhance vitality and address a variety of common conditions such as colds, flus, digestive issues, sleep, stress, and minor skin problems. The share comes as one installment, assembled at the end of the growing season. Individual, Full & Deluxe shares are available and participants are able to choose from a wide variety of teas, tinctures, skin care, syrups, elixirs, herbal honeys & more. Shareholders are encouraged to visit the farm to see where their medicine is coming from, and to lend a hand if they wish.
